Nice, Kanye is working on a new live album and DVD to go with it according to this story I just came across. The album will be from a recent recording session at the world famous Abbey Road Studios made famous by the Beatles.

Kanye West is to release a live album and DVD of his 2005 performance at Abbey Road studios. Entitled ‘Late Orchestration’, the double release will feature performances from John Legend and GLC. The DVD will also feature a series of bonus videos and previously unseen interview footage with Kanye. The concert, which took place in front of 300 fans at the famous Beatles studio last September, was backed by a 17-strong all girl string orchestra. ‘Late Orchestration’ is out on DVD and CD April 24.

Kanye West Plays at Lollapalooza

Apparently, Kanye West is leading Hip Hops infiltration into the rock concert series, Lollapalooza.

The Lollapalooza Music Festival, started by Jane’s Addiction’s Perry Farrell is about to go Hip Hop. The rock star’s festival will use their 2006 show to enlist the help of an eclectic mix of Hip Hop talent. “It’s a kick-ass lineup. We know you’re going to have a sloppy good time,” Farrell announced. “We made a concerted effort to book more Hip Hop this year, and to mix it with a bunch of other amazing things too. And what we’ve ended up with is a beautiful, amazing thing,” he added. So what does the line-up look like? At first glance it seems like the usual rock-filled bill. Indie rock sensation Death Cab for Cutie join Queens of the Stone Age and powerhouse Red Hot Chili Peppers. However, Farrell made it a point to add some Hip Hop flavor this year. Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo will perform as Gnarls Barkley, G.O.O.D. Music friends Kanye West and Common will also hit the stage. Others on the bill include British Grime star Lady Sovereign, The Flaming Lips, the Shins and more. Fitting for Com and ‘Ye, the show will be held in Chicago August 4-6. Source: MTV

Kanye West Will Continue Tour Sans U2

Kanye West will continue on tour after superpower act U2, cancels their plans to hook up with Kanye on tour. I am not really sure why U2 and Kanye were supposed to play together, so I am sure that neither Kanye or U2 is losing any sleep over the deal.

I never really understood why anyone would bring a gun to a concert, let alone be able to get into a concert with a gun. But, apparently it is easier than it seems as two security guards were shot recently in the UK at a
Kanye West concert.

Two security guards are shot during a concert by rapper-producer Kanye West at the NEC near Birmingham in the UK. Police say the shootings broke out after people who tried to get into the concert without tickets were escorted from the arena. One guard is still in the hospital in serious condition after being shot in the face. Officers are looking for a black man, 18 to 22, 5ft. 10 in. tall, slim, with a moustache and braided hair. Police say they are not treating this as a gang related incident. The man managed to get into the lobby but was promptly ejected, thats when he came back with the gun and began targeting guards.

Anyway, Santa Monica High School won Power 106’s Big Boy’s Backstage with Kanye West contest and so Kanye will be performing there next Monday. So, you better bust out the Botox so you can sneak your way in.
